01The problem
Shipping runs on records that prove too little.
A vessel can operate without raising concerns while its records and documents do not prove its technical condition, its regulatory compliance or the readiness of its crew. Planned maintenance systems were designed as digital logbooks: they depend on manual entry and accept a closed job as proof. The knowledge behind every decision is spread across manuals, service letters, circulars, procedures and regulations, and the people who know a ship best rotate on and off it.
- 01Evidence is the new standardPort state control, vetting, class surveys and audits test what the records can prove. Owners and managers must show that vessels are maintained to a high standard, often for vessels they do not own.
- 02General-purpose AI is not built for shipsA language model that does not know how a ship is built can invent a part number or blend international, local and company rules into one confident, wrong answer.
- 03The sea is offlineCloud tools stop working where the satellite link drops, which is exactly where the crew needs them.
02The product
A system of intelligence and a system of record.
WoyCore AI is the AI core: a knowledge graph of the fleet, a verified knowledge base with source citations, and tool-constrained AI agents that answer, draft and validate. WoyCore PMS is a modern, lightweight planned maintenance system designed around evidence. Companies can use WoyCore as a complete platform, or as an AI layer on top of the planned maintenance system they already run.
Three environments, one core
- AShore platformA dedicated, isolated instance for each company.
- BOnboard nodeAn autonomous instance on the vessel that works with no connectivity.
- CAI Assistant for professionalsA public AI Assistant for marine engineers, officers, cadets and instructors.
03The difference
Built to be trusted in a regulated industry.
-
01
A knowledge graph of the fleet
Vessels, equipment, spare parts, documents, regulations and maintenance facts are linked by stable identifiers, so answers follow the logic of the ship, not the wording of the text. The ontology was validated on a synthetic fleet model of more than 900,000 objects.
-
02
Verifiable AI
Every substantive answer cites its source, revision and clause. Where the evidence is insufficient, WoyCore withholds a conclusion and lists what is missing. The software does not invent measurements, confirm work that has not been done or change vessel data without a designated person’s confirmation.
-
03
Designed for the vessel
The same AI core runs ashore, on board and in the public AI Assistant. The onboard node keeps the full functional scope and a local AI model working without connectivity, and synchronises when the link returns.
-
04
Security from the first day
Information security and quality management were set up from the first day of development. Each company runs in an isolated instance, and the public AI Assistant runs as a physically separate installation with no path to company data.
04Business model
Two growth channels on one core.
B2B
Fleets
Direct contracts with shipowners, ship managers and operators for the shore platform, WoyCore PMS and the onboard node, as recurring subscriptions priced per vessel.
B2C
Professionals
The WoyCore AI Assistant for seafarers, maritime cadets and marine professionals, with subscriptions after the public beta.
05Stage
Research complete. Development under way.
Development of the first release is under way. The public beta of the WoyCore AI Assistant opens in Q4 2026.
-
Completed
Research and architecture baseline
- Research into maritime regulations, documentation and cataloguing standards, cyber resilience requirements and onboard operating conditions.
- Product and system architecture: one AI core for shore, vessel and public environments.
- Technical specification and the scope of the first release.
- An ontology of vessels, equipment, spare parts, documents, regulations and maintenance facts, with executable test questions.
- A catalogue of maritime scenarios.
- Legal and licensing framework.
- Financial and market model, product development and go-to-market plan.
-
Now Q4 2026
WoyCore AI Assistant, public beta
Cited answers from openly published maritime regulatory and reference sources, for marine professionals.
-
Next
Shore platform and pilot programmes
A company instance with its own knowledge base, WoyCore PMS and the first AI agents, piloted on real vessels.
-
Then
Onboard node
Full capability on the vessel without connectivity, with a local AI model and signed knowledge updates.
-
Later
Extended capabilities
Mail and event-driven checks, department agents, condition monitoring through a one-way gateway.
06Long term
From fleet knowledge to connected vessels.
WoyCore starts with technical fleet management, documentation and operational processes. As it matures, the same knowledge layer becomes the foundation for read-only vessel telemetry, condition monitoring through a one-way gateway and the connection of more of the fleet’s data. Some things stay out of scope at every stage: direct control of shipboard equipment, blocking a vessel operation and automatic approval by AI.
