WoyCoreAI Agents

Agents that draft. People who decide.

WoyCore’s AI agents take on the reading, searching, cross-checking and form-filling that consume a crew’s and an office’s day. They work only through permitted tools, only within your permissions, and only up to the point where a person has to decide. Every change waits for a human confirmation.

Capabilities are introduced in stages – see the roadmap.

01How WoyCore agents work

Useful because they are constrained.

  1. 01

    Tool-constrained

Each agent has a fixed set of permitted tools: search the knowledge base, query the graph, read records, prepare a draft. Every request from the model to a tool is checked against a strict schema and against your access rights before it runs.

  2. 02

    Your permissions, never more

An agent acts on behalf of the person using it and for the current task only. There is no hidden super-user account for AI. If you cannot see a document, neither can the agent working for you.

  3. 03

    Drafts, not decisions

Agents prepare work orders, requisitions, forms and reports as drafts. Every field filled by AI is marked as AI-suggested until a person confirms it. The audit trail records both the draft and the confirmed change.

  4. 04

    Blank where facts are unknown

Measurements, actions actually performed, dates of execution and test results are never generated. The field stays empty with a note that input is required.

  5. 05

    Preliminary, never definitive

Any conclusion drawn from text, images or readings is a preliminary assessment, with the evidence for and against and the checks that would confirm it.

  6. 06

    Documents are data, not instructions

E-mails, uploads and external files are processed strictly as data. Instructions hidden inside them that try to change how the AI behaves are blocked and logged.

02The agent team

A specialist for each part of the job.

Agents are introduced in stages. The WoyCore AI Assistant comes first; the operational agents arrive with the shore platform.

  • AI ASSISTANT BETA – Q4 202601

    AI Assistant

Answers technical, regulatory and procedural questions in plain language from the verified knowledge base, and from the shore platform onward also from your vessel records. Every substantive answer cites its sources. Read-only: it changes nothing.

  • SHORE PLATFORM02

    Form Auto-Fill

Picks the applicable company form and fills in everything already known: vessel, equipment, part numbers, references. Leaves measurements and results to the person who took them.

  • SHORE PLATFORM03

    Validation

Checks a completed record for completeness, the right form version, dates, units, logic, evidence and copied wording. Raises warnings with references. Never approves and never blocks an operation.

  • SHORE PLATFORM04

    Maintenance and Requisition

Turns a defect report into a draft work order and a draft requisition, with exact part numbers from the equipment’s parts list, the linked procedure, estimated hours and special tools.

  • SHORE PLATFORM05

    History Analysis

Finds similar defects, findings and requests across the fleet’s history, what was different about them and how they were resolved.

  • SHORE PLATFORM06

    Delay Analysis

Explains why a process has stalled: what is missing, who owns the next step and what it is.

  • SHORE PLATFORM07

    Handover

Drafts a handover report for a crew or superintendent change, grouped by ship system, with chronic issues, open items and upcoming work.

  • LATER08

    Preliminary Fault Assessment

Builds a preliminary assessment of a fault from the graph’s dependencies, the service history and the manuals: likely suspects ranked by evidence, and the checks that would confirm or rule them out.

  • LATER09

    Event-driven checks

When an invoice is uploaded, a job is closed or a new revision arrives, a check runs automatically. The result is a warning for the responsible person, never an action.

  • LATER10

    Mail

Sorts incoming messages by vessel, department, subject and supplier, links them to the right records, summarises them and drafts replies for confirmation before anything is sent.

  • LATER11

    Route-aware scheduling

Spots planned work on critical equipment that would fall during a canal transit or a high-risk passage, and proposes a better window, carried out through the normal deferral workflow.

  • LATER12

    Department agents

Agents that know the rules and standard documents of marine safety and the DPA, the technical department, supply and crewing.

03Evidence, not checkboxes

A closed job should prove the work was done.

In many fleets a maintenance job can be closed with two words: “Done, checked OK”. WoyCore is designed to make formal closure visible and real closure easy. The rules are deterministic and transparent; where a model reads a comment or an image, the result is only a warning. Missing mandatory facts keep a record open; everything else is a warning for the responsible person, who makes the decision.

  • MANDATORY FACTS

A configurable list of measurements, test results, replaced parts and attachments for each type of work. Without them, the record is not ready for closure. Only facts that matter for condition and quality are required, so the crew is not buried in data entry.

  • TIME LOGIC

Event sequence, bulk closures and physically impossible durations are flagged.

  • NORMS AND HISTORY

A value is compared with the manufacturer’s limit and with previous records. A worsening trend with an “OK” comment raises a warning.

  • PARTS USED

A claimed replacement is checked against the stores write-off and the requisition.

  • FUNCTIONAL TEST

A job cannot be closed without a description of how the result was verified.

  • NEW FAULT IN A COMMENT

Signs of leakage, damage or out-of-limit values written into a completion comment trigger a proposal to raise a linked defect, so the issue is managed instead of buried.

  • COPIED WORDING

Comments copied between jobs and periods are detected.

Evidence captured at the point of work

Checklists are completed in the mobile app, at the equipment, with the same content as in the web interface, and saved locally until a connection is available. For items that require a photo or video, the evidence is captured inside the app:

  • Capture time, device, user and the link to vessel, equipment, checklist and item are recorded by the app, not taken from the file.
  • A cryptographic fingerprint is recorded at capture, and the original is stored unchanged.
  • Re-use of an earlier photo is detected even after it has been resized, cropped or re-compressed.
  • Image quality is checked at capture: blur, poor lighting, or the required item missing from the frame.
  • No location tracking: WoyCore does not follow crew movements. The record is tied to the vessel and the item, not to where a person is standing.

04Documents in, data out

Paper and PDFs become records you can check.

Certificates, supplier invoices, completed paper forms, equipment nameplates and contractor reports are read automatically. WoyCore analyses the layout, extracts each field with a confidence score, links the values to existing equipment, supplier and certificate records, and presents everything as proposals for a person to confirm. The original document is stored unchanged. Duplicate invoices are caught by comparing number, amount, supplier, line items and date.

WoyCore extracts and compares; it does not declare a non-conformity from a scanned image. A discrepancy is shown to a person as something to check.

05Agents at work

Hours of paperwork, minutes of review.

From a walk-round note to a ready requisition

MAINTENANCE AND SUPPLY

  1. The situation

On rounds, the third engineer sees an oil leak and writes: “The seal on the fuel supply pump of generator 2 is leaking. We need a new one, and the replacement should be planned for next week in port.”

  2. What WoyCore does

The graph expands generator 2 down to the pump and the seal, with the exact part number and catalogue code. The manual provides the procedure, the estimated hours and the special tools. The agent prepares a draft work order with the procedure attached, and a draft requisition with the correct identifiers, adding the special tool if it is not on board.

  3. The result

Two drafts ready for review and the approval workflow, with no part number typed from memory and no catalogue search.

A temperature that keeps rising

PRELIMINARY ASSESSMENT – LATER STAGE

  1. The situation

Exhaust gas temperature on one cylinder of the main engine has been rising for three days compared with the others.

  2. What WoyCore does

The graph lists the components that influence that reading for that cylinder. Their service history shows which were overhauled recently and which are close to the manufacturer’s running hours limit. The manuals give the inspection procedure for the most likely suspect.

  3. The result

A preliminary assessment: the likely cause ranked by evidence, the components ruled out and why, and the recommended check with its procedure attached, plus an offer to create the inspection job. At a later stage the same reasoning can start from a read-only telemetry alert instead of a report.

Ready for the inspector

SAFETY AND COMPLIANCE

  1. The situation

A port state control inspection is expected at the next port.

  2. What WoyCore does

Certificates, overdue or deferred work, open findings and their corrective actions, and checklists missing evidence are collected for the vessel and linked to the requirement they relate to.

  3. The result

The DPA and the master see, item by item, what is in order and what evidence is missing, while there is still time to fix it.

Overhaul in the wrong place

SCHEDULING – LATER STAGE

  1. The situation

The main air compressor overhaul falls due in about 150 running hours, which is exactly when the vessel transits a canal.

  2. What WoyCore does

The graph shows the compressor supplies starting air to the main engine, which makes it critical. The manual says the overhaul takes 12 hours and must not be done while manoeuvring. The vessel’s schedule shows the transit.

  3. The result

A proposal to bring the overhaul forward to the port stay, or to defer it within the margin the manual allows, submitted through the normal deferral workflow for approval.

06What agents never do

Lines we do not cross.

Some limits are not settings. They are part of the design, and they apply at every stage.

  • Never approve or close a job, a corrective action, a risk assessment, a payment or a compliance status.
  • Never invent a measurement, a test result or a date of execution.
  • Never give a definitive diagnosis.
  • Never send a command to shipboard equipment or control systems.
  • Never block or override a vessel operation. Under the ISM Code the master has the overriding authority, and software must not take it away.
  • Never act with more access than the person it works for.

When the question is medical

At sea, the AI Assistant may be the first reference within reach. For medical questions WoyCore answers carefully: it quotes approved first-aid guidance with its source, states clearly that it is not a medical professional, never diagnoses and never invents a dosage, and always gives the escalation path to radio medical advice through the master, emergency services in port and the company’s medical contact.
